Beryl is an edgy dress sewing pattern inspired by a bomber jacket. This unlined mini dress features an intriguing raglan-style cut, ribbed V-neck, a revealed zipper fastening, and a short vent at the front hem. The waist and the 3/4-sleeves are gathered with elastics. Beryl also has a loop at the back and handy patch pockets.

Fabric recommendations
Choose a medium weight non-stretch fabric. Your fabric can have a little drape, or be very stable like the brocade in our sample. Note that light or drapey fabrics don’t work with a robust metal zipper, so if your fabric is light or has more than a little drape, opt for a regular spiral zipper or even an invisible zipper. Choose a firm rib knit for the collar.
