The Gemma sewing pattern includes two variations: a sporty sweatshirt, and a classy knit maxi dress. Both variations feature a funnel neck and an interesting geometric cut at the front. The sweater has a relaxed fit, with elasticated cuffs and a drawstring hemline. The dress is semi-fitted, with long fitted sleeves, and a deep vent at the back to add room for movement.

Fabric recommendations
For the sweater variation, select a medium weight knit fabric, such as sweatshirt fabric, French terry, velour or scuba knit. The fabric should have 30 - 50% stretch. The sample is made of light weight neoprene. Choose a medium weight, firm knit fabric with approximately 50% stretch for the dress. The sample is made of stretch velvet.
